Our Family Support team offers home visits, prenatal and child development education, and help accessing community resources.

What Family Support Looks Like at Neighborhood CentersYou know your family best. We work alongside you to build your confidence as a parent and address challenges that may stand in your family’s way. Your Family Support worker meets with you at least twice a month, or more often if you need additional support. Together, you talk about what’s going well, what’s difficult, and what would help. During home visits, we share information about your child’s development, from pregnancy through age five, and try activities you can do with your child. We use the Parents As Teachers© (PAT) curriculum and are working toward becoming a PAT affiliate. Our team speaks several languages and works with families from different cultural backgrounds. We help you find community resources and connect with services. Family gatherings give you opportunities to meet other parents, build friendships, and learn ways to meet your family’s needs and speak up for yourself. |
